NOTICE OF BIDDING



Sealed proposals shall be addressed to and deposited with Mr. John Link, Business Manager, at the Central Cambria School District, 208 Schoolhouse Road, Ebensburg PA, 15931, until 2:00 P.M. local prevailing time, Thursday June 12, 2025, for "Heating System Upgrade" work to the Jackson Elementary School, 3704 William Penn Avenue, Johnstown,  Pennsylvania 15909.


Bids will be publicly opened at the time and place stated above.


Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, a cashier's check or the bid bond of an approved Surety Company, in an amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the proposal and a non collusion affidavit .  Check or bond shall be drawn in favor of the "Central Cambria School District."


No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.


PDFs of the specifications and drawings for bidding purposes may be obtained by the Contractors on or after Tuesday May 13, 2025 by emailing a request to [email protected]. If hard copies of the specifications and drawings for bidding purposes are desired, those may be obtained at the office of H.F. Lenz Company, Consulting Engineers, 1407 Scalp Avenue, Johnstown, PA, 15904 upon a non-refundable deposit of one hundred ($100.00) dollars for one set of specifications with drawings. Specifications and drawings that are requested by the Contractor to be shipped, will be sent via UPS Ground upon receipt of an additional fifteen ($15.00) dollar non-refundable shipping fee.


A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting shall be held Friday May 23, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Jackson Elementary School.


Work shall be started on the project not later than ten (10) days after notification by the Owner or Engineer to start work.  The entire work shall be completed, ready for use, on or before October 31, 2025.

 

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids, or to reject any or all bids.
